The Jinxiang Railway, as the first railway in China capable of accommodating double-deck high-container trucks, holds significant milestone importance for the construction of Zhejiang Province's "one entity, two wings" development pattern and for promoting the interconnection between Ningbo-Zhoushan Port and inland regions. The X section of the Jinxiang Railway's station preparation project, which was awarded to the Beijing Engineering Bureau of China Railway Corporation, is regarded as one of the toughest sections of the entire line. This section features a long route, scattered work points, a high ratio of bridges and tunnels, and complex geological conditions. It encompasses all aspects of station preparation projects such as roadbeds, bridges, tunnels, and culverts, and is a comprehensive test of the comprehensive management and technical capabilities of the construction unit. 

Overcoming difficulties and challenges, technology empowers the resolution of construction problems 

The project passes through numerous hilly areas and water-rich regions along its route, presenting an extremely complex construction environment. Among them, the key projects - the Qishiyan Tunnel and the Dongmei Village Bridge - are the two major challenges faced by the project team. 

Tunnel breakthrough, steady and cautious: The Qianshiyan Tunnel has complex geological conditions, including faults and dense joint zones, which pose risks such as cave-ins and water gushing during construction. The project team of China Railway Beijing Engineering Bureau adheres to the dynamic construction principle of "the rock changes, so do I", and employs advanced geophysical exploration technologies such as ground-penetrating radar and advanced horizontal drilling to accurately predict the geological conditions ahead. At the same time, they strictly follow the construction policy of "preventing before construction, strict grouting, short advance, weak blasting, strong support, early closure, frequent measurement", and comprehensively utilize large-scale equipment such as three-arm rock drilling machines and wet spray mechanical hands to achieve safe, high-quality and efficient tunnel excavation, ensuring a "zero accident" throughout the construction process.

Bridge crossing, striving for excellence: The Dongmeicun Bridge crosses existing roads and rivers, with high technical requirements for construction and safety risks. The project team combines "rotary drilling machine hole formation" with "BIM technology modeling" to conduct comprehensive and precise control over key processes such as pile foundation construction, pier maintenance, and continuous beam hanging basket construction. Through BIM technology for construction simulation, potential collision and interference problems are identified and solved in advance, optimizing the construction plan, ensuring the precise line shape of the bridge and an elegant appearance both inside and outside.

Smart construction site: The introduction of dynamic monitoring systems for concrete mixing stations, tunnel personnel positioning systems, and video surveillance systems has enabled real-time perception, intelligent early warning, and remote scheduling of the construction site, significantly enhancing management efficiency and safety production levels.

While fully advancing the construction project, the project team has always adhered to the environmental protection concept of "green mountains and clear waters are as valuable as gold and silver". Through measures such as setting up mud settling ponds, installing spray dust suppression systems, optimizing the planning of waste and construction sites, promptly conducting slope greening and reclamation, they have minimized the impact on the surrounding environment and residents' lives, striving to make the Jinxiang Railway a green ecological corridor that harmoniously coexists with the natural environment.

The initial form of this steel dragon has emerged.
